This Privacy Policy explains how Monty Network (“Monty Network”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you visit or use websites, applications and services within the Monty Network ecosystem.

The information handled depends on how you use our services.
Information you provide
If you contact us, submit a form, join a mailing list or otherwise communicate with us, we may receive information such as:

- your email address;
- the subject and contents of your message;
- your communication preferences; and
- any other information you choose to provide.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
Technical and usage information
When you visit a Monty Network website or listen to Monty Sounds Radio, our hosting, security, content-delivery and streaming providers may automatically process limited technical information, including:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- browser and device type;
- operating system;
- requested page, resource or stream;
- date, time and duration of a visit or listening session;
- referring page;
- general or approximate location derived from an IP address; and
- security and error-log information.
This information is used to deliver and protect the services, diagnose faults, prevent misuse, understand general service demand and produce aggregated website or listener statistics. We do not use this information to build personal listener profiles.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- provide websites, radio streaming and related services;
- respond to questions and messages;
- send requested updates or newsletters;
- operate and secure our websites and infrastructure;
- prevent spam, fraud, abuse and malicious activity;
- diagnose technical problems and improve performance;
- understand aggregated readership and listening activity;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where applicable, our legal grounds for processing include your consent, performing a service you have requested, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Monty Network services.

Some websites may also use limited measurement or third-party embedded-content technologies. Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies, we will seek it before placing or accessing them.
You can restrict or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect language tools, embedded content, media players or other website functions.
5. Contact forms and email communications
When you submit a contact form, we use the information you provide to respond and manage the enquiry. Messages may be transmitted and stored through our website hosting and email-delivery providers.
If you voluntarily subscribe to a mailing list, we may use an email service provider, such as Sender, to store your email address and deliver the requested messages. You may unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us.
We do not sell mailing lists or contact details.
6. Embedded content and external services
Our websites may include or link to services operated by other organisations, including music, video, radio, social-sharing, translation, mapping and photography platforms. Examples may include MediaCP, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, TuneIn, radio.net, MyTuner, VRadio, AddToAny and GTranslate.
When you play, open or interact with third-party content, the relevant provider may receive technical information and may place cookies or apply its own privacy practices. Monty Network does not control those independent services. You should review the provider’s privacy information where appropriate.
7. Service providers
We use service providers to operate and protect the Monty Network ecosystem. Depending on the particular service, these may include:
- website hosting, domain, DNS and content-delivery providers;
- Cloudflare for network, DNS, security or content delivery;
- MediaCP and associated streaming infrastructure for Monty Sounds Radio;
- Wordfence and other website-security services;
- Optimole, WP Compress or similar image-delivery and optimisation services;
- email and form-delivery providers;
- Sender or similar mailing-list providers;
- translation and social-sharing providers;
- app distribution services, including Google Play; and
- embedded music, radio, video and social platforms.
These providers process information under their own terms or on our behalf to provide their services. They may operate in countries outside your own. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards should apply to international transfers.
8. Monty Sounds Radio Android app
The Monty Sounds Radio Android application is published by Monty Network.
The app:
- does not require an account or sign-in;
- does not ask for your name, email address or contact details;
- does not contain advertising;
- does not use an analytics SDK;
- does not send push notifications; and
- does not access contacts, photographs, precise location, microphone or camera.
The app requires an internet connection to play the radio stream and obtain essential station and track information.
When you listen, your device connects to the MediaCP streaming service and associated streaming infrastructure. As part of delivering and protecting the stream, that service may process your IP address, device or connection information, listening time, session duration and an approximate country or region derived from your IP address. It may use this information for connection management, security, service operation, audience totals and aggregated streaming reports.
Monty Network does not use the app or this connection information to identify individual listeners, create advertising profiles or sell personal information.
The app may open external links in your browser. Once you leave the app, the destination site’s privacy policy applies.
Because the app does not provide user accounts, there is no app account to delete. If you contact Monty Network separately, you may request deletion of the correspondence or personal information we hold, subject to any lawful retention requirement.
9. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary:
- to service providers that help us operate, deliver and secure the services;
- when you choose to interact with an external or embedded service;
- to comply with law, regulation, court order or a lawful request;
- to protect the rights, safety and security of users, Monty Network or others; or
- in connection with a legitimate reorganisation or transfer of a service, subject to appropriate safeguards.
10. Data retention and deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, maintaining security, meeting legal obligations and resolving disputes.
Contact messages and mailing-list information are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, subject to operational backup cycles and lawful retention requirements. You may unsubscribe from mailing communications at any time.
Technical, security, hosting and streaming logs are retained according to operational need and the retention settings or policies of the relevant service provider. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify an individual may be retained for longer.
To request access, correction or deletion, email [email protected] with sufficient information for us to identify the relevant communication or record. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
- request access to information held about you;
- ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- request deletion in applicable circumstances;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and
- request a portable copy of eligible information.
You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your country or region.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect the services and information handled through them. These include encrypted web connections where supported, access controls, security monitoring, software maintenance and backups.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
13. Children
The Monty Network services are intended for a general audience and are not designed to collect personal information from children. The Monty Sounds Radio app does not provide accounts, targeted advertising or social features.
If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, please contact [email protected] so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Monty Network services contain links to external websites and applications. We are not responsible for the privacy, security or content practices of services we do not operate.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published at https://montynetwork.com/privacy-policy/, with the effective and last-updated dates shown at the top.
Material changes affecting the Monty Sounds Radio app will also be reflected in the app or its Google Play listing where required.
